History

METALWORLD used to be the one & only swiss rock- & metal print-mag until 2010. Before the mag was known under the Name NEWCOMER (from 80ies until early 2000), then changed into NEWCOMER's ROCK- & METALWORLD (short: METALWORLD).
After the mag disbanned in 2011/2012, the banner METALWORLD was and still today is used for promoting shows & spreading news in Switzerland through their Facebook-page.
The idea of using METALWORLD as a label was born in late 2014 with the first release in 2015.
The people behind all of this are active in the swiss rock & metal scene since mid 90ies. They have been involved in different mailorders through the years and organised cult shows in Switzerland for such acts as CANDLEMASS (Reunion club-gig), ETERNITY X, EDGUY (first ever show outside Germany), IVANHOE, DEADSOUL TRIBE (PSYCHOTIC WALTZ), CITA/GUILD OF AGES, LUNATICA, CROWN OF GLORY and just recently RANGER from Finland and many many more.
